antique condition with substantial age-related wear. the leather shows rubbing, scuffing and wear, particularly around the corners, spine and extremities. the brass clasp has developed an aged patina. the gilt page edges have dulled with age. internally there is general toning, spotting and handling wear. there is a significant section missing/torn from the lower corner of the “church services” preliminary leaf, clearly shown in the photographs. please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.despite the wear, this remains an appealing mid-19th-century victorian devotional volume, combining the new testament and book of common prayer in a compact leather binding with its surviving period brass clasp.
